Academic integrations
Many Campus Technology Services projects seamlessly integrate with campus systems that faculty use every day, in order to automate tasks that would otherwise be tedious and time-consuming.
- The Autoreg System integrates with the University of Iowa’s Registrar database to register students, at an instructor’s request into a ICON course.
- The UI User Self-Registration Project allows students, staff, and faculty to self-register in several online courses.
- The Exam Services Projects allow scores from standardized exams (‘bubble sheets’) to be imported into ICON online gradebooks.
- The UIHC Education Tracking Project allows class data to be shared with the Hospital’s databases for the purpose of tracking progress in required training.
- The CMS Automatic Messaging System allows automated bulk e-mail messages to be sent to students in ICON courses, e.g., notifying them of an assignment deadline. This application will be available to all instructors in the near future.
If you have a project in mind that involves integration with campus systems, we’d like to hear from you.
