Workshops and Events

AT Research Services teaches workshops on a variety of topics such as MPI programming, molecular modeling, and grid computing. We also sponsor or promote events related to research computing. Watch our training page for information on upcomming events or sign up for one of our mailing lists to get information emailed to you.

One on one

One on one training may be available through our consulting services depending on the topic and availability of staff.

HawkGrid (The University of Iowa Campus Grid) Workshop

Come to the HawkGrid workshop taught by Dr. Jun Ni. This free workshop will cover the concepts of cyberinfrastructure and grid computing technologies through presentations and hands-on training. To learn more about this workshop, or to register, click here.

NExTT

Research Services often participates in Academic Technologies NEXTT training sessions offered in January and August. Read more about the NExTT workshops.

Sybyl

Research Services offers an introductory training session in the use of Sybyl every semester in the Information Commons West in the Hardin Library for Health Sciences. This is a beginner's training course, designed specifically to introduce new users to the Sybyl program and to give them a basic understanding of the Sybyl program. We also offer individualized training at your request. Groups can also request off-season training as well.
