Molecular Modeling

Sybyl Molecular modeling software

Research Services provides access to Tripos Associate Sybyl software. The University has a multi-seat license that is distributed amongst several laboratories and facilities around campus. We also have Sybyl installed for general use in the University Capitol Center and in the Information Commons West in the Hardin Health Science Library.

Consulting

Research Services staff are available to consult on molecular modeling projects. We provide one-on-one consulting as well as Sybyl training classes for small groups.

Exploratory Projects

We have two emerging projects that will soon be piloting new services for bioinformatics. One uses Saragene, a datamining tool that uses a virtual reality interface. The other uses MPI-blast, a multiprocessing program.
