Data managment
Data management is a relatively new area for AT Research Services. All areas of University of Iowa research are generating data that requires growing storage capacity and organizational tools. In the area of data management, we are partnering with other departments in ITS and other University units such as the Libraries, to develop a plan for data management infrastructure and to explore emerging data technologies and services.
Existing infrastructure
ITS AIS provides access to Oracle and MS SQL database servers for researchers. AT Research Services can serve as a contact point for these servers. ITS Campus Services supports a service called My Files (XYTHOS) that is a secure method of storing and sharing data.
