Studio 107

Studio 107 is Academic Technologies' multimedia facility for faculty, instructional staff, and researchers. The Studio provides a resource-rich environment where you can work with AT staff in a friendly setting. The goal of Studio 107 is to give you access to current technologies, and to enable you to use these technologies effectively.

Appointments are encouraged; give us a call at either 335-5194 (AT's main number). Drop-in help is offered between 9:00 and 4:30 weekdays (depending on staff availability).

A Merging of Expertise and Resources

The strong point of Studio 107 is its convenience - it gives you access to both the technical resources you need for a project, and the expertise you need to use the resources effectively. AT's staff offices ring the Studio, so help is never far away.

If we don't have what you need, we can help you find additional resources on campus.

A Technology Test Bed

The technology landscape changes quickly, so it can be difficult to determine what resources to use; Studio 107 can be used as a test bed for technologies you want to explore. For example, we own a program called Respondus which helps manage exam questions for use in CMS systems like WebCT and Blackboard.  You can come to the Studio and test-drive Respondus with our staff to see if you want it for your own use.

Studio 107 can help you explore new hardware. If you are interested in digital imaging or digital video, you can use our scanners and high-end video editing to see if these technologies meet your needs.

AT's Research Services division has Linux systems in the Studio which support software like Sybyl, a molecular modeling package used in pharmaceutical research.
