Academic Technologies Advisory Council
ATAC is an advisory council, organized by the Provost's Office, that sets broad policies and priorities for the Academic Technologies group. The Council also assists the Provost’s Office and the CIO in setting directions and priorities for developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional technology directions for the University.

Campus Video Services Alliance
This alliance of campus organizations — ITS Academic Technologies, ITS Video Services, Information Commons (Hardin Library for the Health Sciences), and University Video Center — works collaboratively to provide the campus with a wealth of video-related services. From design to production, produced for CD, DVD, streaming video, video on demand, webcasting, and UITV, these units help faculty, staff and students use video in all its forms. http://www.uiowa.edu/~video/

Research Support Facilities
AT's Research Services serves as Vice President for Research (VPR) sponsored central research support facilty to support research computing activities on campus. RS collaborates closely with several VPR and College of Medicine Research Facilities such as the Central Microscopys Research Facility, the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility and the DNA Core Facility. http://research.uiowa.edu/vpr/?get=services
Research Council
Research Council is an advisory group to the Vice President for Research. Academic Technologies looks to the Council for guidance on the type of services and resources we should provide for University of Iowa investigators.

Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
The Center aims to catalyze the development of new areas of study and expanded research opportunities in informatics areas related to the basic biological science, and applied medical research. Several AT staff are members of this center. Boyd Knosp is a member of the Center’s Executive Committee.

CT/Micro-CT Laboratory at University of Iowa
This laboratory, headed by Professor Ge Wang, collaborates with AT Research Services. Jun Ni, a research scientist in AT RS is Associate Director of the laboratory.

Other Campus Facilities
Other facilities on campus that can assist faculty with technology include:
- Instructional Technology Centers (ITCs)
The ITCs are open to faculty as well as students and staff members. There are over two dozen ITCs around campus; see their web site to find the one nearest you. - Information Arcade and Information Commons
The University Libraries maintain two computer labs for use by faculty and students: the Information Arcade in the Main Library and the Information Commons in the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences, which is a central support and delivery venue for courseware development, classroom instruction, health-related research, and independent learning. - Computer Classrooms
The Facilities Management group maintains the general-assignment classrooms, many of which are equipped with computers, projectors, and other technologies. - College of Public Health
The College of Public Health's Office of Information Technology website provides an overview of resources available to faculty, including the departmental Web Server and Webmail server. Contact the OIT staff for more information.
