ITS Instructional Services' Digital Media Solutions workgroup brings together the unique knowledge, skills, techniques, tools, and technology to facilitate the use of digital media in instruction by working with:
- Faculty in the creation, organization, and delivery of digital media. This includes providing instruction to faculty and IT support staff on a variety of multimedia applications and technology, while investigating and learning new technologies to be used by faculty and developing applications related to multimedia across a variety of media, including the web, DVDs and CDs.
- ITS departments and other campus service providers to further the technology infrastructure and technology support services that meet the needs of faculty wanting to use digital media.
- Iowa Regents institutions (University of Northen Iowa, Iowa State University), CIC (a consortium of 12 research universities, including the 11 members of the Big Ten Conference and the University of Chicago) and Internet2 working groups to stay abreast of what others are doing and technology trends.

Announcement
On January 13th, 2009, ITS upgraded the QuickTime streaming server with newer hardware and software.
The upgrade did not impact access for any viewers of existing content.
However, if you upload QuickTime content using a Windows computer, there is a minor adjustment you will need to make.
